The security, integrity, and confidentiality of your personal information are extremely important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use and modification. We regularly review our security practices to consider appropriate new technology and methods. Our Privacy Commitment to You
EmergencyScan® recognizes, respects, and protects the personal privacy rights of all of our customers who provide information to us, whether on our websites or via email. We know that our customers entrust us with sensitive personal information as well as limited healthcare information (HCI), and it is our obligation and policy to maintain this information in a confidential manner. We are committed to providing the highest level of security and privacy regarding the maintenance and use of our customers’ information.
Confidentiality and Security of Non-Public Personal Information
All of the information we collect about you is provided by you. Internally, we restrict access to your HCI to only those employees who need to view the information in order to provide to you valuable EmergencyScan® services. We have partnered with ClearDATA, the industry leader in providing HIPAA and HITRUST Certified security, in developing and maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the highest level of applicable standards to safeguard your HCI.
If you purchase the EmergencyScan® product and elect to use the EmergencyScan® QR Code, you alone will decide what HCI to supply in your EmergencyScan® Profile. In making that decision, know that access to whatever HCI you decide to provide will be granted to anyone who scans your QR Code. For example, in an emergency any First Responder who has access to scan your QR Code will have access and the ability to view all of the HCI that you provided in your profile. By supplying your HCI in your EmergencyScan® profile, you consent to the access and use of your HCI as described herein.
Our commitment to preserving the security and confidentiality of HCI applies to our past, current, and future customers. This commitment extends to any contact that you choose to supply in your EmergencyScan® Profile. We will never market to, or connect with, any contact that you supply unless explicitly instructed to do so by you or required by law or law enforcement.
EmergencyScan® may, from time to time, send e-mail messages to you containing promotions for EmergencyScan® products. We will NEVER send you any communications on behalf of any third party.
